  • 2020 was the year of lost performances as we grappled with the shuttering of performance venues and festivals. To be honest, after so many years honing a craft on the stage or in the studio, I have zero interest in investing my energy into "virtual performances" for the sake of a semblance of career. Perhaps the best one can do to weather the storm, so I've reformulated 2021 as the year I revitalize my chamber music and shift my focus to being a composer rather than a performer.
  • I've been exploring mathematics, software development, and computer programming recently, and there are so many interesting parallels between how we conceptualize form and architecture, graph networks, and counterpoint, not to mention the combinatorial space and organization of tones. Perhaps to become better artists, we need to be willing to step away and view the world through the lens of different disciplines
